Whether you agree or disagree with Judge Sotomayor’s nomination to the Supreme Court, she should be another shining example to young Latino men and women.  She becomes another example of the American Dream where anyone can rise to highest positions in the legal community, politics, or business to name a few.  Certainly not the first Latino to achieve great success, she becomes one of the more visible faces for others to emulate.

Judge Sotomayor’s successes in her chosen field should be celebrated in the Hispanic Community and held up as a beacon to all.   I see this as an outstanding opportunity to reinforce the ethos of hard work, education, dedication to oneself and a worthy goal that can result in tremendous achievement in our country and in the Latino Community.  Tell me what you think!
