President Obama spoke at the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute  and told the crowd “Our destiny is shared…”  These words could not be more true in these uncertain and Historic times.  As the nation seems to be increasingly divided over issues such as health care, the economy and race, shouldn’t we step back and remember that Todos somos Americans – We are all Americans.  Recognizing our differences and respecting our heritage is important and should be honored in our country.  Free speech and the peaceful, respectful airing of our grievances is a tradition in America that we can all celebrate and appreciate.  Let’s not forget that our destiny is shared and that all of us, despite our originating nationalities, want only the best for our families and our country.
